Lee S. Johnson, Jr. Celebrates 35 Years in Fastener Industry
Lee S. Johnson, Jr., president of Lee S. Johnson Associates Inc., is celebrating 35 years in the industry. Lee Jr. is a leading manufacturers representative in the Mid-Atlantic states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, New York and Virginia.
Lee Jr. started working for his father, Lee S. Johnson, Sr., in 1991 as an outside sales intern. Lee Sr. started the agency in 1984 after working 12 years for the family business, The Coatesville Plate Washer Company. In 2024, the agency celebrated its 40th anniversary.
“I am thankful and blessed by God to have been given the opportunity to do what I do for the past 35 years,” Lee Jr. said. “I have been very conscious over these past years to continue to steer the ship that my dad built and keep it clear of any icebergs. I thank all those who have worked for the agency over the years, past and present, who have helped us achieve our longevity. We have also worked with some great principals over the years who have seen our value and rewarded us with their loyalty.
“I look forward to (hopefully) seeing a third generation continue the agency at some point. Until then, I’ll keep adding to the almost one million miles I have put on the road—seeing customers from Virginia to New York. Today, the agency employees three full-time sales agents and two sub-reps.”
