Abbott Interfast Celebrates 75 Years of Manufacturing Excellence
Abbott Interfast, a leading manufacturer and distributor in the fastener industry, is celebrating its 75th anniversary.
Founded in 1948 by Chicago Industrialist Marty Binder, the company proudly continues a legacy of manufacturing leadership in America four generations later.
Abbott has humble beginnings in a small factory across from the legendary Gene and Georgetti restaurant in Chicago, culminating in a move to a world-class, five-acre facility in Wheeling, Illinois.
“Abbott has seen consistent growth for eight decades and has served more than 50,000 customers,” said Bob Baer, CEO. “Innovation has always been the highest priority, but above all, our North Star has been an insane focus on quality, our customers, and our employees.”
Today, Abbott Interfast delivers a broad range of products, including fasteners, knobs, and deck fastening systems. Early next year, the company will launch a new retail concept. Its reach is worldwide, with partner factories and warehouses not only in the U.S. but across the globe.
Highlighting its commitment to investing in U.S. manufacturing, its sister company, Abbott Metal Works, recently introduced a state-of-the-art, high-volume CNC factory within a factory, offering precision parts to more than 30 different industries, including aerospace, medical, marine, solar and automotive.
Abbott has a spirit of innovation, resilience, and dedication to quality. As they commemorate this milestone, the company stands tall as one of the most respected combined manufacturers and distributors in the fastener industry. For more information about Abbott Interfast, visit www.aicfast.com.
