Christmas Benefit Underway for Western North Carolina Hurricane Victims
A special message from Craig Penland, president & CEO, Eurolink Fastener Supply Service:
As many of you are aware, the recent devastation caused by Hurricane Helene has left a significant impact in the Western North Carolina community. Prior to the hurricane, their local school systems identified 250 children as homeless. Now, and to my surprise, that number has surged to over 1,100 children. These are 1,100 kids without stable homes during the holiday season, and our hearts are heavy with the knowledge of their need.
At Eurolink Fastener Supply Service, we are partnering with Biltmore Church in Asheville, North Carolina, to make a real difference for these children. We are joining together with them, as they have launched the 828Strong Christmas initiative just this past week, with a goal to bring Christmas back to Western North Carolina for those families who have lost so much.
Our immediate target is to raise $75,000, which would provide Christmas for 150 families of four. But we here at Eurolink don’t want to stop there. It is our goal, with the help of our industry, to extend support to all 1,100 kids identified by their local school systems as homeless. We believe that with the generous spirit of our fastener industry, we can achieve this goal and achieve it quickly.
This industry has a long history of giving and supporting those in need. We’re asking for your help—whether it’s a donation, a partnership, or spreading the word. Every bit will go a long way in helping us bring joy and hope to these children and their families during this challenging time.
Would you join us in this effort? Together, we can make a tangible impact on our fellow brothers and sisters and help restore a sense of normalcy and joy to these kids during the holidays.
If you’re able to contribute or want more information about the 828Strong Christmas initiative, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly. Let’s work together to make a difference. I can be reached at Craig@EurolinkFSS.com or 864.801.0505, ext. 101.
Please take a moment to watch this video on this initiative from Biltmore Church, and if you feel so led, please donate here as well:
Overview: 150 families in WNC will be identified who are in need of providing Christmas for their families. Families will be able to come shop during those dates to get a Christmas tree, ornaments, and gifts for their families. For a family of four, you can provide Christmas for $500.
The dates for these families in need to go Christmas shopping for their children are December 12, 13, and 14. Each family will have a shopper assigned to them to help as they get gifts from a gender/age specific list.
Thank you for considering this important and timely cause.
