Continental-Aero Wins Best Technology Award at Fastener Expo

Continental-Aero, famous for its branded purple nylon insert locknuts, all-metal top locknuts, and graded finish hex nuts, was awarded the best technology award at International Fastener Expo 2023.

The award follows the company’s success at last year’s show, where it took the honor of Best Booth Award. With more than 700 presenting exhibitors, Continental-Aero knew it had to raise the bar to stand out against the competition again this year.

As if releasing their 10th edition Purple Diecast Model to commemorate their 75th Anniversary weren’t enough, the team decided to go one better and invite attendees to “Take A Wild Ride With Us,” hinting that bigger and better things were in store for the show. With the cryptic marketing campaign continuing at the show, the big reveal took place on the first day at their booth with the unveiling of their VR360 Virtual Reality Simulator—and it was a big hit—with a constant line of willing participants ready to be spun upside down in a thrilling ride through the virtual space!

Continental-Aero achieved their goal of creating a buzz to their brand. The lights and sounds from the display drew in attendees from across the show who wanted to try out the technology.

“The VR Simulator at Continental Aero’s booth was a huge hit at IFE 2023,” said Madeline Kinney, conference content manager at IFE. “Innovation and technology were very top of mind at this year’s show, so the timing couldn’t have been more perfect for this fun feature!”

Don’t think that the team at Continental-Aero is done; they are already working on plans for even greater things in 2024.
